Espargaró, 34, came from twelfth place at the start of the British Grand Prix to take his first win of the season thanks to a brilliant overtaking manoeuvre a few corners from the finish. The Spanish driver, who raced at Aprilia, thus recorded his second World Championship victory in a career spanning almost twenty years. Third place went to South African Brad Binder.
